It started with one little girl and one very squeezed doll.
Years ago in Wilmington, North Carolina, a little girl named Lela had a fluffy blue doll she called her CushyBoo. On every ride across town, she'd wrap both arms around it, squeeze with everything she had, and shout:
"I love you so much, CushyBoo!"
Her dad, Tony, never forgot that sound. He registered cushyboo.com and made himself a promise: he didn't know exactly what a CushyBoo was yet, but if one doll could make a kid that happy, every kid deserved one.
You can watch the original moment right here. So here they are: the softest, squeeziest friends we could dream up, each one made for a hug like Lela's.
